Batimento Dúo

Batimento Dúo is an instrumental proposal  which explores the sound and expressive possibilities of the guitar ensemble. Taking regional music as a starting point, they approach musical practice from different points of view and focus on the River Plate genres of tango, vals and milonga. For this proposal, original arrangements are created with a personal look at the genres. The repertoire is mainly due to the link that the works have with Uruguay, whether by composers or that their creation or theme is closely linked to Uruguayan territory, claiming the importance of the country within tango, and the role of music as a factor of cultural integration of the region. They have performed both in traditional milongas and in the main theaters and venues in Uruguay. They have shared a dates with Yamandú Costa, Julio Cobelli and Néstor Vaz. They have also performed at different festivals, courses and concerts in England, Finland, Bolivia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Colombia and Ecuador. As part of the Project they have published a book of scores with their arrangements, which has the support of CIATyC (Interministerial Commission for Support of Tango and Candombe). They also had the support of Ibermúsicas, the Regional Fund for Culture and FONAM.
